JUNETEENTH 2024
On Juneteenth 2024, The Caucus joined @lace_to_liberation along with seven other Black-led organizations that included Life is work, The School of Opulence, Brave Space Alliance, Task Force, and CCHIP — for the Emancipation Celebration: Empowering our Community Juneteenth BBQ.
As we continue our Pride 2024 coverage, ChiWellness Magazine was there to capture all of the goodness that comes from working together in community, for community, with community.
Thanks to each of you that came out... and a special thanks to Reverend Don Abram for his timely message and reminder that leaning into the truth of our identities while also staking claim to our unadulterated freedom, is the best way to celebrate our ancestors and this National Holiday.
Let’s join Reverend Don in wishing each other Happy Juneteenth and also happy Pride Month. And let’s remember that because these two things happened in the same month... that means that to be black and to be queer and to be free means that God is in our midst.
And so again happy Juneteenth from your fiends at ChiWellness Circle, and we hope that your day was filled with light, love, and joy.
